With thanks to Faye Ho, Tommy Hill and Alex Olsen for making our trip to the 2021 BSB finals the most exciting it could be with a behind the scenes FHO Racing garage and pitstop tour. It was inspiring to hear about the engineering and investment that takes place between the team, riders and their machinery and nice to be thanked for our valued sponsorship. We cannot encourage sponsorship and support for this motorsport enough, especially since we discovered a superbike costs around £85,000.00 to buy and needs an engine replacement at a cost of £22,000.00 every three rounds! Every racing weekend requires a £4,000.00 spend on tyres too! Faye Ho has invested lots to assemble the FHO Racing team to compete in the 2021 Bennetts British Superbikes Championship and it has been a year of incredible results with Peter Hickman securing 5th place in the British Superbikes and our sponsored Alex Olsen returning from injury in 2020 to secure a podium third place in the Pirelli National Superstock. Well done all!
There are twenty-four members in the FHO Racing team and earlier this year, Faye announced she is extending her support to two female riders, a sixteen year old called Charlotte Marcuzzo and a seventeen year old called Scarlett Robinson in the HEL Junior Supersport Championship. Team Principal Faye Ho announced. “It was always a huge ambition of mine to become a team owner in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, and to make that dream a reality this season was a huge achievement for me, especially to be the only woman currently in that position. I wanted to share that experience of succeeding in a goal, and I feel really driven to be an advocate for more women to be recognised within the sport.”
2021 Bennetts British Superbikes Championship
Burnell are incredibly proud of our sponsored BSB riders from Kent; Alex Olsen, Bradley Ray and Tom Ward. They never fail to excite us with their determination at every racing meet and it was especially pleasing to witness Alex Olsen, Bradley Ray and Tom Ward challenging all in the top ten in the final rounds, held at our home ground Brands Hatch on Sunday 17th October 2021. Burnell’s grand finale sits with a wonderful day at the races, a FHO Racing tour and the 2021 Bennetts British Superbikes Championship standings for our riders. Alex Olsen and FHO Racing finished 3rd in the Pirelli National Superstock, Bradley Ray and Rich Energy OMG Racing finished 10th in the Bennetts British Superbikes and Tom Ward and Hawk Racing finished 14th in the Pirelli National Superstock. Team work does make the dream work, well done to Alex, Brad, Tom and everyone involved!
